Bio
Reeb-Myers has been creating art for over 25 years since childhood. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where she instructed printmaking in the Continuing Studies program for over nine years.
In her own words… “Through abstracted, nature-based paintings, I try to depict my understanding of how the whole is reflected in the structure of the part. An example of this is how seeds and leaves contain a map for trees. I layer paint and ink using printed textures to describe the process of nature. This process of change and transformation is supported by inking up found natural objects and recycled materials.”
Jodi’s artwork has been shown nationally, receiving numerous awards and is held in many private and corporate collections. She works out of her studio at the Traffic Zone Center for Visual Art in Minneapolis, but travels to the countryside to receive her inspiration, combining contrasting landscapes and environments in her work.
