Born in southern Idaho and raised in several western states, Rikki Drotar became inspired by the rich beauty and diversity around her. From an early age, she captured these scenes with paper and pencil and ultimately studied fine art and illustration at Utah State University and graduated with a BFA from the Art Institute in Phoenix.
In her own words… “Color always fascinated me, the way an artist can use color to create moods and life. While studying animation, my love of movement developed; I discovered that everything had an energy and flow, whether it was a human form or an inanimate object. I try to capture the flow and movement when I paint.”
Rikki resides in Phoenix with her husband and son. Her work can be found in collections throughout the United States and Canada.
