F. Elizabeth Douglass

Elizabeth Douglass grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and received her Fine Arts degree from Auburn University. She also studied at The University per Stranierei in Perugia, Italy.

She works principally in acrylics and paints on a variety of materials including glass, canvas, plexiglas and metal.  Her work is influenced by Monet for his play of lights and washes of color, as well as watercolorist Dean Mitchell and John S. Sargent and the soft marine scapes of Homer.  She finds great freedom in contemporary, abstract painting.

Elizabeth now works and lives in Surprise, Arizona.  Her work is collected all over the United States.
