Pete Charles

Pete Charles was born in 1959.  He studied in New York and South America, where he became interested in wildlife subjects, including finely detailed farm animals and birds.  He is particularly known for his chickens and roosters in their natural environment.  Pete has become one of the finest painters in this genre.  He employs lush, bright colors and thick pallet knife strokes, perfect for creating fluid feathers.  And, the three dimensionality of his work produces a highly realistic effect.  Pete’s work is held in collections all over South America, Canada and the United States.
