“The Garden of Earthly Delight”

By John Fereng

$2,000 (Unframed)

John Fereng was born in Amsterdam. He contracted a serious virus as a boy and was confined to bed for long periods of time. During these periods he took to making sketches and discovered his passion. Art quickly became and integral and fulfilling part of his life. Fereng’s work is heavily influenced by the 17th century still life painting genius of artists like Breugel, Bosschart and Rembrandt. He loves to paint realism, using many different textures and objects that one doesn’t normally associate together. But…they work! The artist’s work is found in private and public collections. He is one of the very few contemporary artists working in this type of classic style.
