Francesco Tammaro was born in Naples in 1939. He received his formal art training at the Instituto D’Arte di Napoli.
For decades, Tammaro’s works have received critical acclaim, especially his knack for creating poetically veiled pictorial expression. The artist’s most notable sale was a piece entitled “The Farmer’s House,” which sold at auction in New York for $10,000. The buyer had a tavern rebuilt in his house exactly as Tammaro had portrayed it in his painting!
His work has been exhibited throughout Europe and the United States.
