Sacha Barrette (“Sacha”)

Born in Saguenay Lac St-Jean in 1965, Sacha left his native region for Montreal, obtained his Bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the University of Quebec in 1982 and worked in the visual arts field for numerous advertising firms. During this time, he taught private painting classes until he decided to devote himself entirely to his art. Sacha works with color in such a way as to keep its original purity, thereby giving the subject its unique shape, texture and light, all applied “almost flat.” Hence, the colors are allowed to express themselves. His travels throughout Canada, Latin America and the United States have allowed him to build his palette of colors and reaffirm his style. His work is exhibited throughout North and South America.

Starlie Sokol Hohne

Starlie Sokol-Hohne was born in 1958 in Santa Monica, California and completed her studies at UCLA in 1980. Inspired by the work of Robert Rauchenberg, Starlie combines images of antiquity with contemporary mixed media printmaking techniques to create the reality of her idealized image. Her compositions include paint, textures of fabric, string, and patterned paper, photography, and more. The unique result is distinctively a Sokol-Hohne. Her work is in private, public and corporate collections throughout the United States.
