C. Fox

C. Fox is the studio name for a pair of Chicago artists who combine their talents, ideas and painting techniques into each piece they create. They express their love of mixed media by incorporating textiles (including men’s silk neckties!) acrylics, wood and bits of metal into each piece. Favorite subjects are natural, intricate trees, vines vegetation and flowers. Their most recent works are whimsical, tall, exaggerated floral vases.

Her subject matter is almost exclusively flowers and landscapes, reflecting the beautiful mountains in Northeast China where she works and lives. Ru’s work should be viewed from a distance of a few feet. Only when the viewer is at the right distance does the depth of the relief and scene appear three dimensional.

Scott Jones

Scott Jones was born in Cleveland in 1958. He studied at the prestigious Columbus College of Art and Design and presently works in his beloved painting studios in Key West, Northern Kentucky and on the shores of Lake Michigan. An intriguing aura surrounds Jones’ paintings. His work contains something engaging – a mood, movement and often exotic use of light that embraces his viewers and invites them into the work as if they were attending one of the many theatrical performances or café scenes Jones so loves to create. He calls them “scene stealers.” In his travels to the great romantic cities, he captures the mood-drenched scenes on canvas. One can’t help being taken in by the festive attitude and timeless moods created by Scott. In addition to Jones’ participation in dozens of one man exhibitions, he has participated in countless group shows, designed theatrical sets and acquired numerous public and private commissions. His work is exhibited and collected throughout the United States and France.

The artist is available for commissions, allowing the buyer to specify size, subject matter and color.

Nancy Ngo

Born in Chicago, Ill., but transplanted to Arizona as a child, Nancy Ngo received her B.F.A. degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2001.  Nancy's awareness of the play of light and shadow and its effect on color plays an important role in her work today.  The dichotomy of the natural desert landscape of Arizona versus the urban downtown environment of Chicago led her to a certain "no rules" style of painting.  Her paintings have a certain raw, playful, and sometimes unfinished quality in which the work holds a kind of potential energy, excitement and freedom.  Ngo’s work is held in collections throughout the United States.
